Flip Text 1.6

This application takes text that is either pasted or typed into a field, and then flips it different ways. A user can shake the application to switch between flip modes. The flipped text can be emailed or sent via SMS from within the app or copied easily into another application.

The flip modes are:

1) Upside Down - this flips the text upside down and is the default mode.

2) Scramble Middle - scrambles the middle of a word and keeps the first and last letters the same. This is based off of a theory that the order of letters in a word is not important for the text to be readable if the first and last letter of each word are kept in the same place.

3) Scramble Ends - scrambles only the first and last letter of a word, keeping the middle letters the same. If the theory above is correct then this mode will make the text very unreadable.

4) Mixed Case - alternates between lowercase and uppercase letters. This demonstrates how the shape of a word might play an important part in readability.

5) Bubble - characters appear with a bubble around them.

6) Disemvowel - all vowels are removed from the text.

7) Reverse - all the characters in the text are written in reverse order.

8) Reverse Words - the characters in each word are written in reverse order, but the order of the words in the sentence is kept the same.

9) Mirror - text is readable by holding the iPhone/iPod Touch in front of a mirror.

10) Mirror Upside Down - text is readable by holding the iPhone/iPod Touch upside down in front of a mirror.

11) Numbers & Letters - the first and last letters of a word are kept the same, and the middle of the word is replaced by a number representing the number of characters it contains.

12) Symbolize - text is replaced with 'fancy' characters

13) Emoji - test is replaced with Emoji characters

Note: The 'Upside Down', 'Bubble', 'Mirror', and 'Mirror Upside Down' text will only display correctly in applications that support UTF-8. For example, you can send an 'Upside Down' text to another iPhone and it will appear upside down, but that same text may not display properly if sent to a different type of phone.
